- General surgery
We have designed our surgery and anesthesia protocols to provide the best in safety and recovery for your pet during his or her surgical procedure. Pre-anesthetic examinations and diagnostics, diligent anesthetic monitoring and pain medications tailored for your pet's specific needs ensure a safe and comfortable surgical experience. Your pet's surgical technician will meet with your prior to admitting your pet for surgery to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
- Radiographs
Radiographs (x-rays) are an important tool essential to the diagnosis and monitoring of treatment of many diseases and injuries. Our x-ray equipment allows us to obtain the radiographic images that provide important information relevant to managing your pet’s medical treatment.
- Dental Cleanings/Extractions
Routine dentistry is as important for dogs and cats as it is for humans. Scaling, polishing of the teeth and fluoride treatments are provided for each patient. Extractions are performed by our doctors if necessary.
- On-site laboratory
Whether your pet is ill or undergoing a surgical procedure, it is a comfort to know that our on-site laboratory provides rapid test results allowing quick response to your pet’s needs. A professional diagnostic laboratory is available five days a week for more extensive diagnostic testing for our patients. Results are often available in less than 24 hours.
- Pharmacy
We carry a complete line of the most commonly used prescriptions and non-prescription medications and animal health care products for the convenience of our clients. Heartworm preventatives and monthly flea and tick preventatives you can trust are backed by the manufacturer. For your additional convenience, you can order prescription refills through your Pet Portal and have them delivered to your door!
- Preventative Health Care
Our doctors stress the importance of semi-annual wellness exams for your pet. Pet’s cannot tell us how they feel, so by performing their semi-annual physical exams we can detect many early or hidden problems. These comprehensive semi-annual wellness exams can help your pet live a longer, healthier life. Because dogs and cats age much more quickly than humans, an exam that is performed only once a year is similar to you visiting your doctor every 6-8 years for a check-up.
- Vaccinations
Our team will help you choose the best vaccination protocol for your pet. With the changing protocols in frequency of vaccinations given, it is highly recommended to continue with those semi-annual physical exams and discuss each pet’s individual needs for vaccinations, since there are so many factors to consider, such as age, lifestyle and risk or exposure in individual environments.
- Nutritional counseling
Good nutrition is important to all pets; from the growing puppy or kitten to the aging senior pet. We can address each individual pet’s needs and recommend the best diet. We carry a full line of therapeutic diets for dogs and cats with skin disease, kidney disease, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and more.
- Behavioral counseling
We can provide basic educational information and assistance on behavioral issues. For more involved issues, we may recommend a Behavior specialist.
- Cancer treatment
Our compassionate staff recognizes how frightening a cancer diagnoses for your pet can be. We’ll help you understand the options and make informed decisions.
- Microchipping
Millions of pets are lost each year. Some are found and unfortunately, some are lost forever. You can protect your dog or cat from this fate by having a permanent microchip implanted in your pet. The microchip is a small, sterile transponder that contains a unique id code capable of being read by a compatible scanner. Scanners are used by animal agencies, humane societies and veterinarians throughout the United States. A recovery service registers your pet’s contact information and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help return your pet is he or she is lost.
- Relocation
Moving to a new area can be stressful. We have developed a relocation package to help make your move a little easier. You can register your pets with our clinic by filling out the Client Registration form and returning it back to us via mail or fax. You can also request records from your previous veterinarian using our Medical Record Request form. This form allows you to have your pet’s records forwarded to our clinic so we have the medical details for your pet. It also allows us to input your pet’s reminders in our computer system so no important services are missed. We have also included some traveling tips and information to help you with your move
